Closures, the specialty packaging provider for consumer, industrial,
and medical markets, announced today that it has changed its name to
Yorker Packaging. Yorker Packaging is the packaging business unit of
Jarden Plastic Solutions, a division of Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH).
Yorker Packaging’s new name reflects the company's total solutions
approach to specialty packaging and reinforces its commitment to continued
packaging innovation and growth.
”We have selected our new name to emphasize the breadth of our
product offerings and toand to encompass our total product design, prototyping,
production, and distribution capabilities,“ said Jim Smeaton, product
manager for Yorker Packaging. “With design capabilities provided
by our sister division, Jarden Design Associates, Yorker has the capability
to provide our customers with much more than they might imagine. We
can custom engineer a total solution for them for any packaging challenge—from
closures to containers, thermoforming to custom designs—or provide
them with an off-the-shelf item to fit their needs.”
Effective January 2005, the new name and logo will appear as shown below
and will identify the company’s extensive product portfolio in
household and industrial chemical, personal care, health and beauty
aids, food containment/packaging, lawn and garden, and medical markets.
